Text Box: Dear Family Members, Welcome to MILA Elementary where your child will be exposed to a variety of lessons that incorporate Literacy and Wellness.  While having a great time, they will be exposed to a positive environment and achieve the Physical Education Sunshine State Standards set by this county and the State of Florida.  All the students will also go through a two year scope and sequence of physical activities that scaffold skills from Pre-K through the sixth grade.  This will ensure that every child has been exposed to every activity that might encourage a lifetime of fitness and health.  Your child will experience many activities such as Project Adventure, Polar Heart Monitors, Brain Gym, Nutrition and Health curriculum, DDR Dance Revelation, Geo-motion, cooperative play and Walk-4-life pedometers. Our school was currently awarded the NASPE national STAR Award.  Only fourteen elementary schools in the nation have received this honor.  We won the Excellence in Physical Education Award for Brevard.
