As Principal of MILA Elementary, Mrs.
Dufresne seeks to provide an innovative and positive
learning environment for all students and to serve
every student with excellence as the standard.
Mrs.
Dufresne is beginning her 19th year in
the education field. She graduated with a B.A.
degree from Marshall University, M.S. in Teaching
English as a Second Language, and an E.S. degree in
Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern
University. She began teaching in West Virginia but
soon moved to the Space Coast in 1992. Her
experiences include academic specialist, primary and
intermediate grades, and exceptional education. She
was Cape View’s assistant principal for 5 years. In
2007, Mrs. Dufresne was recognized as Outstanding
Elementary Assistant Principal of the Year for
Brevard County.
After being the Principal at Cape View Elementary
for 3 years Mrs. Dufresne came to MILA Elementary in
July 2010.

Sharon Loines

Education:
Mrs.
Loines attended Daytona Beach
Community College before moving to
Brevard County to complete her
Associate in Arts degree from
Brevard Community College. From
there, she earned both her Bachelor in
Science degree in Elementary
Education and Masters in Educational
Leadership from the University of
Central Florida.
Experience:
Integration
of the content areas has been a
cornerstone of Mrs. Loines' teaching
philosophy since she began her
career. She taught first and
sixth grades before becoming the
Lead Teacher of the Fine Arts
Cultures Magnet at Gardendale
Elementary School of Merritt Island,
where she taught K-6 on the specials
wheel and participated in various
administrative duties. She has
been MILA's Assistant Principal
for more than seven years.
